A celebration of Nicky Hind's life

Nicky passed away peacefully at home on 17th July 2026, aged 74 years. Beloved wife of Chris, loving mum of Andrew and Louisa, proud grandma to Leo and Zac. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will take place at Beetham Hall Crematorium on Wednesday 5th August 2026 at 11am.

I met Nicky when i was about 20 when we worked together and we have been friends ever since. Nicky and Chris came to our wedding in 1974 then once we had children and they were at school Nicky and i used to meet every week and spend may hours on our ZX Spectrum computers trying to solve THE HOBBIT. Nicky was our youngest daughters godmother and our daughter still has the silver braclet with the charms on that Nicky gave her every year. As our families grew up we still kept in touch and used to meet up with Nicky and Chris for meals (usually chinese) in a evening. Once we were all retired we switched going out for a meal in the evening to meeting for lunch which we have done for quite a few years now. We used to love our get togethers to catch up on all the news. You really were a good friend Nicky and will be missed more than you know. God Bless Cindy & Gordon xx
